After establishing themselves with a flurry of bold and impressive efforts over the last few years, including a batch of highly-praised EP releases, Kent-based duo SKIES make their eagerly-awaited return with the explosive new single 'Deconstruction'.
Channelling a broad mix of alt-rock-inspired textures with euphoric pop hooks from start to finish, 'Deconstruction' makes for one of their most impactful listens to date. Filled with bold and blistering energy, soaring riffs, and powerful vocals layered throughout, these two are really pushing themselves out there with this one.
Speaking about the track, Alie from the band said, “After a month long tour in fans gardens during Summer 2020 we were able to record the single funded by the tour. After a particularly hard time everyone, we were grateful our fans supported us enough for us to pay our bills & get back in the studio”.
It may come after a few months away, but SKIES are really looking to make some serious noise with this new release. And with them set to play Kendal Calling later this year, it feels like we are going to be hearing a lot more from them in the months ahead.
