Greet The Chief recently released a thirteen-track album, a self-titled project once again led by singer-songwriter Gavin Davies. At the helm, Davies leads audiences through an energised alt-rock soundscape, often brimming with guitars, occasionally laced with sparkling brass tones, always approached with an open, experimental attitude, but keeping an indie charm at the core.

Anthemic throughout, the songwriting is sharp and at points ludicrous in the best way. Whether it’s the energetic sonic roar of ‘Cruel To Be Kind’, the darker backdrop and emotional lead guitar of ‘Repent At Leisure’, or the atmospheric orchestration of ‘So Close’, the project has something for everyone and charisma in performance at all times.

The tracks join the ranks of praise-worthy releases from Greet The Chief, with playlist tastemakers and radio-show pluggers picking up the music.

Gavin Davies' reputation on the UK underground circuit has come through previous projects including The Roads, Future Roads, Jooba Jooba and Jericho Scream. Greet The Chief looks set to push further throughout the year, so keep an eye out!
