With his smooth and driven flow riding across an impactful production from start to finish, he is returning with one of his most infectious releases to date here.
So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and influences over the years.
What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?
JME due to his unique flow and clarity in his bars and also his intelligence.
Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?
Kind of me and my friend started a duo I was the MC and he was the DJ when we was like 6 so we never got no bookings just just did endless sets in our bedrooms.
What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?
I can’t pinpoint one thing that inspired me but if I had to I would say it was other artist/tracks and life, I fell in love with songwriting and rhyming at a young age I used to rap books in primary school when it was reading time chopping and putting in words to make it rhyme, around that time I use to watch a lot of music videos/ radio sets so this is where the inspiration come to start writing songs and rapping.
What is a song you wish you had written yourself?
Did you see by J Hus this for me is one of the greatest tracks coming out of the UK ultimate feel good music and that’s what I always strive to make.
If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?
Hundred percent my first ever show seeing 300 people singing my songs back to me was one of the best moments of my life so far and a moment I will never forget.
Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?
He’s no longer with us but when it comes to live performances and getting the crowd going it’s got to DMX his energy was unmatched. That's my type of show.
And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?
It’s got to be J Hus his hooks are next level.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
5 years time I see myself as a house old name with numerous hits and few major awards on the mantelpiece. Also by then I would like to think I will be producing my own tracks from creating the beat to mixing and mastering.
