Sunday Smoke’s recent single ‘You Again’ is out now. From the very first moment, the guitars feel lively and infectious, once again revealing the band’s knack for the instantly memorable.

Bringing together the indie-tinge with the straight-laced alt-pop, the band pushes through the verses, the drums unstoppable as the melodic movement from the vocals, guitar and even bass are crisply delivered, raining down over the ears. That noughties nostalgia for the mainstream, guitar-driven anthem lands in spades, dynamically shifting to capture wherever the catchiest element lies in that moment. It’s a colourful burst with a breezy charm from kick-off to final whistle.

Lyrically, the song explores a post-relationship emotional aftermath, frontman Benj shares, “This song is about the grey area after a breakup, when you know you should move on, but you still feel pulled back into something that hurts. It’s about missing someone, replaying everything, and wondering how long it really takes to fall out of love… or fall back in.”

The Surrey three-piece first debuted last year and has quickly gained momentum. Stepping onto the London scene looking to make waves, they’ve refined their style with each release and shown diverse songwriting talent.
