What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?

Aerosmith. I remember when I was a kid riding to and from sports practices and games and my dad would blast their greatest hits album in the car. Their song ‘Dream On’ in particular was one we shared the biggest connection to. To this day it fuels the fire in me every time I hear it.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

My brother and I started a band together when we first started playing music. I played drums and he’d play guitar and sing and we went hard in the basement! We covered artists like AD/DC, Led Zepplin, The Eagles, and Eric Clapton. Really, it was anything classic rock. In high school, we added a few members and some edge when we started a Muse cover band. To this day we still believe our cover of ‘Hysteria’ should have won the school talent show.

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?

My dad. He introduced me to classic rock and gave me my first guitar when I was really young. He still plays and is a huge supporter of the music I make today.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

There are a ton of songs I wish I wrote but one that sticks out right off the bat is Wiz Khalifa’s ‘When I’m Gone’ off Rolling Papers. That whole album was in rotation in my car throughout high school so it just has a different meaning to me than most.

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?

Off the top, it would be a music video I filmed in college for a song called ‘Agent’s-of-Shag.’ It was the first music video I ever made and it was back when WONDR was a duo. My friend and I recreated our own Austin Powers film with this song. We rented a roller rink, costumes, and a double-decker party bus. We had all our friends come out dressed in retro 70’s gear and pretty much threw an epic party that we happened to also film. The song and video have since been removed so I don’t know if I’ll ever re-release them but that memory I’ll have forever, which is what’s most important to me.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

Drake. I look up to him as the benchmark artist of my generation and today’s so it would be an honor just to touch the stage for even 5 minutes with him.

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

A lot of artists I’d like to collab with but to choose one it would either be Drake or DaniLeigh. They’re both incredible R&B artists with a gift for melodies and I feel like that’s my strongest suit as well. It would be cool just to sit in a studio with them and witness their process.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

I see myself being the biggest artist in the world on a world tour with my friends and girlfriend. At that point, I’ll be working on building out my music career further as well as expanding into racing through F1, NASCAR, film, and fashion.
