After a wave of support coming in for his work over the last few months, multifaceted rapper and songwriter Mohammad Zidan aka W7LF has now returned with his stunning new single 'Diablas Addictions'.
Blending his traditional hip-hop flow with a distinctly raw and breezy aesthetic, largely influenced by jazz, funk and neo-soul, 'Diablas Addictions' sees the artist return in fine form. With its smooth and driven pace and passionate vocals layered throughout, he is certainly looking to define his succinct sound on this brilliant new offering.
So with the new single available now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and inspirations over the years.

What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?
Akon. I was a huge fan of Akon back in the day; I must've been 10 or 12. From 'Mr. Lonely' to 'Put The Blame On Me' & then 'Smack That', Akon was the artist that I would listen to on a daily basis. His music also introduced me to Eminem who is my all-time favourite artist.
Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?
No I did not. If I did, we would've sounded terrible.
What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?
My surroundings. I'm quite empathetic to situations & people around me and I tend to always wanna journal them mentally.
I also tend to have an abundance (or rather overflow) of thoughts stored in my head. Writing music (or poetry at times) helps, as it acts as a means of release. I'm also quite opinionated & found music to be a fantastic place to share my ideals & views in life. I feel more confident in who I am because of my music.
What is a song you wish you had written yourself?
Can't Call It - Marlon Craft
January 28th - J. Cole
Ville Mentality - J. Cole
Welcome To America - Black Thought
The Black Renaissance - Sa-Roc (ft. Black Thought)
Lot To Give - Marlon Craft
Until I Saw You - Marlon Craft
Black Savage - Royce Da 5'9"
The Storm - KXNG Crooked
Children Of Men - Trae The Truth (ft. J. Cole)
Drop The World - Lil Wayne (ft. Eminem)
Zeus - Eminem (ft. White Gold)
The list can go on forever. If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?
The release of my 1st Studio EP 'Along Came A W_lF'.
Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?
Ultimately, Eminem. Currently, Marlon Craft, J. Cole, Black Thought, Sa-Roc & Royce Da 5'9".
And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?
Marlon Craft, J. Cole, Black Thought, Sa-Roc & Royce Da 5'9" & ultimately Eminem.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Working on better problems & achieving higher goals.
