After establishing himself with a string of rich and vibrant delights these last few years, fast-rising artist Samuel Oscar has returned once again to deliver his sweeping new single 'I Need Your Love'.
Lifted from his newly released debut album 'Happy Ending Fantasy', which is available to stream now, 'I Need Your Love' makes for a beautifully warm and tender listen. With his sweet and shimmering vocals layered across an enchanting production from start to finish, he is certainly looking to pull on our heartstrings with this one.
So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with him to find out more about his background and what has been inspiring him most lately.
What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?
Backstreet Boys, my sister used to listen to them a lot and I just loved them so much. I wanted to be one of the members.
Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?
Yes I did, it was a band called Bright Knights. I honestly still today have no idea what it was supposed to sound like. I just remembered that one of our songs was called “Enter The Shadows” is pretty mysterious right?
What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?
It’s mostly influenced by the emotions I experience, the stories I encounter, and the relationships I build.
What is a song you wish you had written yourself?
Oof, I wished I had written Bohemian Rhapsody, I just couldn’t imagine what the thought process of writing would be.
If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?
When I heard my song being played on a radio station. It was just so cool to hear and I teared up so much.
Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?
Frank Ocean, Rex Orange County, Kanye West, and Charlie Kaillum
And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?
Yes, it would be the same people I would love to share the stage with. Plus Rick Rubin or Fred Again.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Hopefully going on tour, cause that would be a dream. I would also just like to get to know my listeners more.
