What was the first instrument you learned to play?
Piano. I started when I was 5.
What was the first album you remember owning?
Now That’s What I Call Music 69.
Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?
I wrote a few sad love songs with my mate aged 11, which is really funny to think about now.
What is a song you wish you had written yourself?
What you know, by Two Door Cinema Club. It’s a timeless anthem.
What has been the most thrilling moment about creating your own music?
Probably getting to play it on a stage in front of people are 15/16 months of working on the project. It was all number watching and getting to know my fans online (which is great of course, but seeing them in person was an incredible feeling)
And what about the most frustrating part?
I tweeted just before the release of my EP stating that I actually find it really hard on my mental health to release music. It’s very frustrating when you go through a patch of not growing, and you feel like you put all this new effort into the next release, but when nothing special happens and it feels like it’s gone no better than the last release, it’s really hard.
Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?
Probably The 1975. They’re just on another level.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Hopefully selling out massive venues and being able to make music and do shows every single day!
