After spending the last few years delivering a bright and vibrant array of pop-rock offerings, Irish outfit Rofi James return once again to unveil their latest upbeat belter 'Berlin Wall'.

Channelling a wonderfully bold and uplifting direction from start to finish, 'Berlin Wall' sees the group in renewed spirits. With its soaring energy, killer hooks, and distinctive vocals layered throughout, we can't wait to hear what these guys come out with next.

So with the new single available now, we sat down with them to find out more about their background and influences over the years.

First band or artist you fell in love with?

Dire Straights, Brian Adams, The Beatles, Feeder.

Were you in bands when you were younger? What did they sound like?

We were in separate Indie/rock/pop/punk bands. Ronan was in a Gael pop/punk band called The Temporary who wrote all their music with Irish/Gaelic vocals. Jamie was in an indie rock band called Waiting For Friday, and Joe was in a pop/funk band called Cotton Ball Three.

Primary inspiration writing music?

Creating something that makes you feel something, be it motivation, empathy. It’s a tool to express your own feelings/thoughts in a relatable medium too.

Songs you wish you wrote?

Iris - Goo Goo Dolls

With Or Without You - U2

Radioactive - Imagine Dragons

Any moment in your career you would like to relive? What would it be?

Many career highlights, the first time playing to a sold out venue in our hometown.. hearing our music on national radio for the first time..It’s better to look forward, not backwards, but there are many highlights, but we are really excited about the music we’re creating at the moment and the things we have in the pipeline for the coming months.

Any artist you would like to share the stage with?

Imagine Dragons, Stereophonics, Noel Gallagher, U2, One Republic.

Any artist you would like to collaborate with?

We would love to collaborate with Paul McCartney, Dan Reynolds/ Imagine Dragons and Ryan Tedder from One Republic. All huge inspirations and genius songwriters in our opinion.

Where do you see yourselves in five years?

It’s hard to say but we would love to be a globally established band touring and making a living from writing/recording/performing our music and collaborating with other artists too! Hopefully with millions of streams on our music and a busy touring schedule!
