With a sound shaped by Tuscany’s charm and a global club sensibility, Mouth Water has steadily carved out a space where live instrumentation meets minimalist, melodic house. Known for hybrid sets that blend DJ performance with clarinet, bass, and keys, the Italo-American producer and multi-instrumentalist now returns with a fresh take on his emotionally charged single 'Rise', this time reimagined by boundary-pushing producer warner case.

'Rise (warner case Remix)' transforms the original’s bittersweet reflection on lost connections into a hypnotic, late-night club burner. Inspired by the DIY spirit of late-2000s blog haus and indie sleaze, the remix captures a raw urgency while preserving the emotional core of the original track.

The release marks another exciting chapter for Mouth Water, who continues to grow his international presence following standout appearances at Primavera Sound 2024 and ongoing praise for his elegant, genre-bending performances. We caught up with Mouth Water to talk about the origins and influences behind his sound.

What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?

My first favorite was Jamiroquai, and I remember going out to buy the cd of Travelling Without Moving as a kid. When I got home and put it into my discman I was blown away by the sound quality.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

I’ve had several bands, starting at age 17 and in most of them I was playing bass. The music was usually some form of pop/rock.

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?

My primary inspiration is usually the instrument or tool I’m using when I conceive the track. So sometimes it’s a synthesizer, other times it’s the piano or keyboard, or it could be the bass where I come up with the initial idea for the song.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

There are so many I cannot choose! It was a while back but I Feel Love by Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder would be pretty iconic.

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?

Performing at Primavera Sound in Barcelona last year which was great fun. Also, anytime I get to be in the studio creating is worth reliving!

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

Well warner case who recently remixed my song Rise would be great.

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

Probably The Chemical Brothers, I still can’t get over or even understand how they’ve been able to create most of their music.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

I see myself with a couple of more albums under my belt, playing larger stages around the world.
