Sometimes moving forward means reconnecting with the sound that started everything. After more than a decade away from the decks, KOOLAID is returning to his drum & bass roots with ‘clinic’, an uplifting liquid D&B release that feels like a creative renewal.
Before developing his genre-fluid work as Damien Hendrix, KOOLAID was immersed in South Florida's underground electronic scene, performing across Miami and becoming part of its drum & bass community. Now, years of experimentation across hip-hop, electronic music, punk trap and digi-core have brought him full circle, albeit with an entirely different arsenal of experience behind him.
So with the new single out now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and influences over the years.
