After originally breaking through with his impactful debut single 'Fire Inside' back in 2019, Italian musician and producer Moody makes his long-awaited return to deliver his mesmerising new single 'Life'.

Lifted from his forthcoming debut EP 'Universation', which is set to arrive soon, 'Life' makes for a wonderfully rich and shimmering listen. With its warm and tender textures, breezy atmosphere, and sombre vocals throughout, this new one will wash over you and leave you feeling renewed throughout.

So with the new single available now, we sat down with him to find out more about his background and influences over the years.

What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?

The first artist I fell in love with was Michael Jackson. I didn't get it at the time, but now I understand that the man was really pure energy, emotion, rhythm, without a filter. He's beyond mind, just pure raw energy, that's why he could give life to so many different genres.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

I had a band but we never went far because some of the guys wanted more of a pop punk vibe while I wanted to put way more blues into it. What has been your primary inspiration in writing music? In terms of writing I think no one is similar to me. I think music at large today is too much of a purging of the artist's insecurities, and while that may help someone I think it's unnecessarily heavy sometimes. I aspire to express myself like someone like Osho would do, but musically. I want people to feel better after listening to me. I want to describe actual beauty and not just fight uglyness. What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

I wish I had written Since I've Been Loving You by Led Zeppelin, because I think they reached a pinnacle in the history of Blues music there. If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be? I had many pleasant moments in terms of reward by listeners but my most significant moment is when I finished my EP Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

I'd really love to share the stage with Slash from Guns N Roses, I think we'd have a nice jam. I'd also love to work with a top level Indian Ensemble and Choir like Sounds Of Isha, or a good Classical Orchestra or Gospel Choir like Sunday Service, I think that would at least double the energy of my music as listened to live. And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

I would love to collaborate with Ye, Travis Scott, Billie Eilish, I really admire their creative approach and I would like to give them some of my perspectives on Sounds and Harmony and see how they would receive them and what could come out of it seen from their perspective. Where do you see yourself in five years time? 5 years from now I see myself as the leader in this new Conscious, Psychedelic, Meditative movement which is taking place in Music right now, and I see myself sharing my insights with other artists as much as possible so that we can create more and more Harmony and Aesthetics, not as boring, dead rules but as a new intention towards Intense Positivity in Music as opposed to the nihilistic tendencies which are in vogue today, and I think once we can make that shift collectively, taking away the charm from negativity and bringing the energy and swag back to the positive stuff, there will be a Renaissance 2.0, and me being an Italian I'm kinda destined to be the initiator of it, lol.
