Following up a string of bold and exciting singles throughout the year, London-based singer and songwriter Michael Ransom has returned once again to unveil his newest uplifting gem 'I'd Do It Again'.


Channelling a wonderfully rich and direction aesthetic from start to finish, 'I'd Do It Again' makes for a wonderfully breezy listen. With its laid-back tones married effortlessly against his own heartfelt voice throughout, we can't wait to hear what he comes out with next.


So with the new single available now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and influences over the years.

What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?


Kings of Leon – When I heard their first album it made me want to start a band, and we did.


Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?


Yes I was in a band with my three brothers and best friend, it was called Mavis Victory Project, the songs are on Spotify. It's dark, electronic, Guitar music, check it out!


What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?


Mostly past experiences, and things I’ve noticed in everyday life.


What is a song you wish you had written yourself?


The Pogues – Fairytale of New York


If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?


We played at the Moto GP Final in Valencia a few years ago. Would love to re-run that.


Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?


Action Bronson.


And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?


Bon Iver.


Where do you see yourself in five years time?


I’m living week by week at the moment, so I'm not sure!
