What was the first instrument you learned to play?

The first instrument I learned to play was the piano. I remember being so young when I started I'd get so frustrated that my hands couldn’t play all the notes because they were not big enough to span an octave.

What was the first album you remember owning?

The first album I remember owning was Elephunk by The Black Eyed Peas. I’m not sure if I bought it because I enjoyed the songs, or because my older sister liked them and I wanted to be cool like her.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

I don’t recall formally forming one, but I'm almost certain it happened as a kid.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

Probably Circles by Post Malone, just because I remember the first time I heard it I felt like every line of that song stuck the landing and felt so familiar to me. But you know, I'm a huge fan of Frank Duke and Kaan Güneşberk’s work. I don’t think they have a single song that I don’t relate to or enjoy.

What has been the most thrilling moment about creating your own music?

There are two competing things here for “most thrilling”. One is when the vocals are finalized and I see the entire picture come together, and the second is when I see other people's reaction.

And what about the most frustrating part?

Right now things can be a little overwhelming because there is just so much I have to balance on my own. It’s hard when your mind runs faster than your legs can go.

Technically, I want things to be perfect. I want the vocals to be edited better, I don’t want any throw away lines, I want the mix to sound cleaner, I want every concept to be solid, I want the visuals to be on point etc. That being said I don’t want being an obsessive perfectionist to stop me from putting out a body of work. So striking a balance is difficult when you're still doing things on your own without a lot of help.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

Omg. I can’t even let my brain go there without freaking out. Right now I think Fletcher, just because I really relate to her writing style and her songs just get better each time you listen to them.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Right now I see a few paths in front of me. Though they all look really different from one another, all of them involve spending more time in the studio collaborating with more creatives.
