What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?

Well growing up I listening to quite a lot of different music so I’d say first group I fell in love with was Black eyed peas, first band probably Linkin Park and artist was umm I’d say Eminem. The first song I actually learnt by heart was Smack that by Akon featuring Eminem back in like year 2.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

I actually started rapping with my friends, I mention the group in a couple songs that aren’t actually out yet but we did try. We imposed a very American type of sound, mixing styles of boom bap rap, melodic trap and RNB. It’s funny because in some of my tracks you can hear a slight American accent just because it’s how I used to rap.

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?

My inspiration can vary from, purely enjoying the feel of the instrumental to moments in my life where I needed to release pain, happiness and anger. However it all starts with the sound of the beat which I can always credit to the producer, in my case being George Armstrong who intertwines different sounds such as Neo soul, Jazz and orchestral music. Creating that chill and nostalgic vibe which is translated in my music.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

There’s way too many songs I wish I could’ve written myself but if I have to say one It would be “Workin Out” by JiD. Or Fear by Kendrick Lamar.

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?

I’d say finding my sound, so before the start of my Career if anything. It just allowed me to experiment and gain confidence in switching my style.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

For this one I’d say YS Sainté. From seeing him around college to sharing a stage with him would be cinematic, something you’d see in a movie.

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

From the top of my head: Kamaal Williams, Sainté, Knucks, DC, Slowthai, Skepta, Lancey foux, Lord Apex, Ayrtn, lil Yatchy, Asap Rocky, Hamza, Ashbeck, ZinoVinchi, Pa Salieu, Dave and many more.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Hopefully, on stage somewhere in Europe, with a couple songs featured on Colors and Tiny Desk. Branching out into other businesses such as fashion, media and nutrition/wine. If not then a qualified Sports and Exercise Psychologist in practice or even a store Manger in the food industry.
