What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?
As broad as my inspiration has been growing up, having been an avid listener of genres ranging from classical piano music, to Afro beats, boom bap and pop, Michael Jackson is one of the first artistes I recall being in extreme admiration of for his unique vocal ability, catchy lyricism, eccentric fashion style and outstanding stagecraft.
Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?
Yes actually, my first ever encounter with music recording was when I was much younger and had formed a group with my high school friend Ian. He is responsible for the initiative I took to start writing lyrics of my own. Despite any doubts I had, his constant passion and willingness to experiment had significant influence on me and motivated me to give writing a shot.
What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?
My desire to express my innermost feelings, explore varying perceptions, spread love and impact but most importantly harness the talent God has given me.
What is a song you wish you had written yourself?
Pink and white by Frank Ocean
If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?
It’s very difficult to say because I literally view each and every step or phase of the journey and my artistry with strong sentiment as it ultimately will contribute to the legend I’m yet to become.
Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?
Burna Boy, Billie Eilish or play boi carti.
And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?
The list is long af but right now Victony or Amaarae.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
By God's grace, nearer to my full potential.
