What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?

It had to be someone my mom listened to like Sade, Stevie Wonder, or Marvin Gaye. I still have her entire album collection. There’s so many people really.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

Never formed a band. Got into making music much later around 22 in my room in med school. Just making raps over beats for years until I learned the bass, then the music theory led me to picking up multiple instruments. My sound is a mix of many different genres from healing frequency music to psychedelic rock, jazz, blues, funk, and hip hop. Maybe i’d call it transcendental psychedelic hip-hop.

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?

Healing. It started off as therapy for myself, then as I learned more and more about vibrations and frequencies I realized what I was doing all along. Then I started getting more intentional about it. When I knew it was working I decided to heal others with it.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

If It’s Magic - Stevie Wonder.

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?

The day when I got confirmation that the vibrations I was making was really getting through to people without me telling them exactly what they were.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

Kanye West.

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

D’Angelo, Andre 3000, Erykah Badu, The Internet.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Producing an entirely new genreless form of healing music, and rasing earth’s vibration daily with my music and energy.
