GET TO KNOW: Danny B The AirHead

After spending much of the last few years turning out a breadth of rich and tantalising delights, Essex-based artist and producer Danny B The AirHead is back on the grind once again to deliver his vibrant new single 'Good Noise'.

Bringing back more of that smooth and infectious energy he is known for, 'Good Noise' makes for an incredibly engaging listen. With his rich and silky flow riding across a hip-shaking production from start to finish, he returns to the fold with one of his most enjoyable efforts to date.

So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and influences over the years.

What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?

I would probably say Chaka Khan - I remember being obsessed with the song 'Ain't Nobody' for a long time when I first heard it and it's still one of my favourites now.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

I was in a rock band back in my school days called Nevertheless. I was the lead singer, and we used to write a lot of our own songs together. At the time, I thought we were amazing, but when I listen back to my singing and the lyrics I wrote I think to myself "Wow, I've definitely improved from when I started". I'm currently in a band with two of the members from Nevertheless, but now I play the drums!

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?

Life in general - Most of the time I want my music to be authentic, so I will always take inspiration from my own experiences.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

All Falls Down by Kanye West. It's just an amazing song in every aspect.

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?

The first time I ever performed my own music. I remember being so nervous about how people would respond to seeing me perform something I'd written myself, but after seeing such a positive response from friends, family, and even strangers, it's a feeling I will never forget.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

Literally any UK artist right now. Performing is so much fun and it's even more fun when you're up there with someone else, and since there are so many great artists in the UK I'd love to share a stage with all of them.

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

My answer will be the same as the last question. There are so many amazing artists out there, I'd love to work with them all, even if it's outside of my genre!

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Shutting down the biggest shows, making the biggest songs, and living the life full of music that I've always aimed for!
