After generating more than 40k streams for his previously shared works over the last few months, US rapper Cooper Glass has now returned to deliver his superb new album 'Seasons'.

Channelling a smooth and ethereal production from start to finish, 'Seasons' sees the artist conjure a wonderfully rich and soaring aesthetic throughout. With his sweet and airy presence riding a blissful bed of atmospheric electronics, his latest collection makes for a wonderfully warm and soothing listen.

So with the new record available now, we sat down with him to find out more about his background and influences over the years.

What was the first instrument you learned to play?

I played the drums when I was younger. Learning song structure and how to hold a steady beat has had a direct correlation to my ability to rap and change flows.

What was the first album you remember owning?

I bought The College Dropout by Kanye West when I was 9 and that changed my life forever. I would spend full days listening to that album on my walkman.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

I started recording music when I was 18 as a solo act and it took a while for me to find my voice. The content within the lyrics during those early days is drastically different from what the content is on my most recent project. This is partly because I have improved as an artist, but it’s also a direct correlation to how I have evolved as a person. Every piece of music recorded is a building block for who an artist becomes, but it can be hard not to cringe at some of those early songs recorded.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

Mac Miller - Objects in the Mirror is a beautifully written song. I like writing that allows the listener to interpret the lyrics in a variety of ways. Something that is personal to the artist but also a broad enough reflection of the human experience to allow the listener to relate to it.

What has been the most thrilling moment about creating your own music?

Being able to take a moment in your life or feeling and turn it into something that lasts outside of your own memories.

And what about the most frustrating part?

A lot of time ideas just simply do not work. The whole process of creating music is breaking through barriers to get the final product. Once you have an idea, creating a song can be like putting together a puzzle. Sometimes the pieces are already there, sometimes you need to create the pieces and sometimes you need to abandon the puzzle altogether.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

I see myself releasing 5 albums over the next 5 years, continuing to grow as an artist, and building up a loyal fan base that resonates with the art I am creating.
