GET TO KNOW: Ambiere

Having already garnered huge support from BBC Introducing for her recent releases, as well as performed at Truck Festival, Blackthorn Festival, YNOT, Made In Manchester and MCFC’s City Square Stage, fast-rising artist Ambiere is back once again with her stunning new single 'Thea'.

Channelling a wonderfully warm and atmospheric electronic production this time around, 'Thea' makes for a brilliantly rousing listen throughout. With her sweet and supple voice layered over a bed of bold and ethereal production from start to finish, she is certainly looking to make a big impact with this one.

So with the new single available now, we sat down with her to find out more about her origins and influences over the years.

What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?

I remember listening to Florence and The Machines full album Ceremonials and being completely in love with everything about the way they created music. Florence’s performances have always been incredible, so freeee.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

I did, when I was 13 I was in a band with my best friends called Start Point. It used to sound quite punk Rock and I used to put on a slight Lilly Allen style accent.

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?

Escaping from reality is usually my inspiration as it’s when I’m off in another place in my head.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

I wish I had written ‘Now We Are Free’ by Lisa Gerard Frok the Gladiator Soundtrack. She said used a special made up language from when she was little which she called ‘Talk to God.’ I think this is so beautiful and it’s such a powerful track altogether.

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?

I went on tour a few years ago and I’d love to do another one, it was great experiencing new places and people again so I’ll have to pull my finger out and organise one.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

I’d love to share a stage with Aurora, she’s so graceful and passionate I think that would be a wonderful experience.

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

I’d love to collaborate with Chris Martin, I love his songwriting style and it is always so heartfelt.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

I see myself travelling around the world performing and creating with a beautiful team of people by my side and surrounded by a lot of love and creative energy.
