Young Allies have unveiled 'Fingers Entwined', the latest release from the New York-based indie project led by songwriter Fritz Michel.
The track arrives with a new music video and further details surrounding the band’s forthcoming debut EP. While earlier material centred more closely on Michel’s solo writing, the new single reflects the wider ensemble dynamic that has emerged around the project in recent months.
Rather than relying on large crescendos or overt theatricality, 'Fingers Entwined' unfolds gradually through layered instrumentation and restrained pacing. Guitar, bass, keyboards and vocal harmonies work together to create a reflective and immersive atmosphere.
Visually, the accompanying video leans into surreal imagery and fragmented perspectives, building on earlier collaborations between Michel and creative partner Gavin Price.
Young Allies have also established a recurring live presence through their weekly residency at LIC Bar, where the songs continue to evolve through performance.
The band’s upcoming EP is expected to further explore themes drawn from literature, poetry and visual storytelling while remaining rooted in live interaction and collaborative musicianship.
