Edwina van Kuyk finds freedom in letting go on gorgeous new single 'Floating'

Limerick pop-soul artist Edwina van Kuyk embraces uncertainty on ‘Floating’, a beautifully serene new single that makes slowing down sound utterly irresistible.
Following the gospel-infused power of ‘Here To Stay’, she strips things back considerably. Warm electric piano provides the foundation while her rich, jazz-tinged vocals glide effortlessly above, creating a wonderfully spacious sound with shades of Olivia Dean and Sam Fender.
Co-written with Chris O'Shea and Herman Franke, ‘Floating’ captures the relief that comes from abandoning the pressure to have every part of life mapped out. Instead, she celebrates uncertainty, allowing herself to simply exist in the moment and discover where it might lead.
Warm, elegant and wonderfully uplifting, ‘Floating’ proves that sometimes the most exciting direction is simply allowing yourself to drift.
