vincethealien - 'Elongated Time'
vincethealien has shared a new track examining the way difficult memories can repeat long after relationships have ended.
“Elongated Time” centres on heartbreak, grief and the uneven process of recovery, with the Los Angeles artist using looping production to mirror the experience of returning mentally to the same moments.
The arrangement combines electronic programming with strings, keys and synth textures, placing the song between alternative pop and industrial music.
The track was written from earlier reflections on relationships and trauma before vincethealien connected those ideas with an instrumental from collaborator MOTTRON.
“Elongated Time” is the final single to be released before vincethealien’s forthcoming EP, which is scheduled for the new year.
