Arkansas indie-pop singer-songwriter Trevor Phelps continues the journey towards his forthcoming album 'Small Town' with the release of 'Old Friend', a thoughtful new single that explores the distance between youthful dreams and adult reality.

Following earlier 2026 release 'Home Now', the latest track takes a more reflective approach, pairing melodic guitar-driven pop with an unforgettable chorus. Rather than looking back through the familiar lens of nostalgia, Phelps imagines his younger self reaching out to the person he has become, creating a moving conversation about changing ambitions, evolving ideas of happiness and the passage of time.

As the second preview of 'Small Town', 'Old Friend' expands on the album's themes of leaving home, growing older and recognising that the places and people who shape us never truly disappear, even as life moves forward.
