‘the People and the Places’ introduces Lone Till Payday’s expansive debut

Lone Till Payday have unveiled their first full-length record 'the People and the Places', bringing together the different relationships and communities that have shaped the North Jersey group.

The album reflects the band’s flexible five-to-seven-piece setup, with friends, relatives and guest musicians contributing throughout. Rather than sticking to a single style, the record moves between atmospheric art rock, chamber-pop detail and heavier passages.

That breadth is represented by “Bike Lane”, one of the album’s more restrained tracks, where piano, bowed guitar and layered choir vocals frame a song written from three separate perspectives.

The title 'the People and the Places' reflects the wider focus of the project, with songs inspired by family, friendship and shared experiences.

Following a rapid first year that has included festival appearances and a sold-out headline show, Lone Till Payday are now supporting the album with further dates across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
