Kettering four-piece Temples have announced their new studio album 'BLISS', set for release on the 26th June via V2 Records. The record sees the band push into bold electronic territory while retaining the psychedelic foundations that first defined them, marking a striking new phase in their evolution.
The first taste of the album arrives in the form of ‘Jet Stream Heart’, a track inspired by the intoxicating pull of sound systems and late-night dancefloors. Built around driving rhythms and warped, fuzz-soaked textures, the single channels the rush of losing yourself in music. The band describe it as capturing the magnetic sensation of being consumed by a song in a club setting, blurring the boundaries between synths and guitars through inventive studio experimentation.
Following 2023’s 'Exotico', 'BLISS' was self-produced by the band, embracing a more spontaneous and collaborative process. Drawing inspiration from late ’90s and early 2000s electronic culture, the album explores emotional contrasts across tracks including ‘Vendetta’, ‘Blue Flame’, ‘Revelations’ and ‘Megalith’.
