Reetoxa - 'Timor Leste'

Reetoxa’s latest single is one of the project’s most personal releases to date.
“Timor Leste” was written from Jason McKee’s memories of serving with the Royal Australian Navy during a 2006 deployment to East Timor aboard HMAS Manoora.
Rather than compressing the subject into a conventional pop structure, the arrangement follows the shape of the story itself. Piano, full-band instrumentation and orchestral elements are used to support a narrative centred on fear, conflict, memory and what personnel carried home afterwards.
The recording features Peter Marin on drums, Kit Riley on bass, James Ryan on guitar and Terry White on piano. Simon Moro produced, mixed and mastered the track.
Reetoxa are also looking ahead to 2027, with plans underway for a 22-track double album.
