Following on from the release of their much-loved EP 'Freight Train' last year, Detroit-based duo Powers Of The Monk return once again to offer up their breezy new outing 'Firefly'.
Capturing more of that warm and woozy folk-inspired sound they are known for, 'Firefly' makes for a beautifully rich and endearing listen. With their smooth and dreamy vocals riding across a shimmering production from start to finish, they are returning to the fold with one of their most alluring cuts to date here.
While these last few years have certainly been a prolific period for the pair, 'Firefly' shows that they still have plenty of fresh and exciting ideas ready to explore. With such a firm and confident approach to their songwriting as well, we can't wait to hear where they'll take their distinctive direction next.
