Lausanne-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Moon Construction Kit continues his exploration of psychedelic pop with the release of his latest single ‘Down The West Coast’.

The new track finds Olivier Cornu, the creative force behind the project, diving deeper into a rich and colourful sonic world that blends classic pop craftsmanship with contemporary indie sensibilities. Inspired by the lush studio experimentation and intricate arrangements of late-1960s sunshine pop, ‘Down The West Coast’ unfolds as a cinematic journey through layered instrumentation and immersive melody.

Built around delicate woodwind flourishes, sweeping vocal arrangements, and richly textured production, the song gradually expands from a gentle opening into an expansive and euphoric finale. Throughout its runtime, Moon Construction Kit balances nostalgia and innovation, drawing on vintage influences while maintaining a distinctly modern perspective.

Atmospheric, melodic, and beautifully detailed, the release offers another glimpse into Moon Construction Kit’s evolving artistic vision. As he continues to develop his self-described “sunshine psych” aesthetic, ‘Down The West Coast’ stands as one of his most fully realised and transportive works to date.
