Lausanne-based artist Moon Construction Kit returns with a bold shift on new single 'Chemicals'. Described as “power-goth-pop,” the track is a dark and anthemic blend of shadowy atmosphere, surging guitars, and razor-edged emotional clarity that captures the turmoil of feeling everything all at once, and the strange peace that comes with finally feeling nothing.
Clocking in at 3 minutes and 28 seconds, 'Chemicals' channels the raw energy of indie-rock, the moodiness of goth, and the structure of sharp, addictive pop. Produced and performed entirely by Olivier Cornu, the track reflects a more visceral and immediate direction for his project, following earlier releases like the psych-pop leaning 'Long John Silver'.
Built around the tension between internal chaos and the longing for silence, 'Chemicals' is a swirling storm of emotion and restraint for fans of The Cure, Nada Surf, and late-60s layered pop production with a darker twist.
