With their sixth studio album 'A Bridge To Far' arriving on the 7th November via Bella Union, revered Texas outfit Midlake unveil another compelling preview in the form of new single 'The Calling'.

Propulsive and expansive, the track builds on the momentum of previous singles 'The Ghouls' and 'Days Gone By', fusing driving rhythms with lush horns arranged by Jesse Chandler and Sam Anderson. Frontman Eric Pulido describes it as a personal reflection on “the struggle to apply myself toward a given effort, denying or embracing that which we were made to do.”

Anchored by Midlake’s signature blend of psych-folk textures and widescreen rock energy, 'The Calling' is a stirring meditation on purpose, potential, and self-doubt, delivered with an urgency that hints at the richness still to come on the album.
