London's Gregg Kofi Brown has unveiled 'The River (Remix)', a powerful Afro-gospel inspired track created in collaboration with Ed Sheeran, who co-wrote the song.
Brown performs the vocals and bass on the track, joined by an experienced group of musicians including Kari Bannerman (Ibibio Sound Machine, former Osibisa) on guitar and Robert Bailey (Boney M, Osibisa) on keyboards. The remix was mixed by renowned producer Chris Kimsey, known for his work on several classic Rolling Stones records.
'The River' explores themes of reflection, redemption, and personal renewal. The lyrics follow the journey of someone confronting past mistakes while searching for forgiveness and spiritual cleansing.
With its spiritual message and international collaboration, 'The River (Remix)' brings together gospel influences and contemporary songwriting in a track centred on renewal and hope.
