Dublin-based artist Good Skin has returned with his first new release of 2026, unveiling the expansive indie-rock single ‘Slow Heart Attack’.

The track follows the release of Sean Meehan’s debut album in 2025 and serves as the first glimpse of a forthcoming record that shares its title. Blending bright synthesiser textures, melodic guitar work and anthemic songwriting, ‘Slow Heart Attack’ balances a sense of nostalgia with a contemporary perspective, creating a sound that feels equally suited to festival stages and solitary reflection.

Written during a period marked by political unrest and international conflict, the song examines the experience of navigating a world increasingly shaped by crisis, information overload and uncertainty. Rather than focusing on a single event, Meehan uses the track to explore broader questions surrounding identity, division, influence and the role of those in positions of power.

Since emerging just a few years ago, Good Skin has steadily built momentum through a growing catalogue of releases, earning support from BBC Introducing and attracting more than half a million streams. With its ambitious scope and thoughtful lyricism, ‘Slow Heart Attack’ signals another significant step forward for an artist continuing to establish himself as a distinctive voice within Ireland’s independent music scene.
