Louisiana artist Gino V. brings late-night motion and lived-in storytelling together on 'Taking Planes', a slick, self-produced release that blends nostalgic R&B textures with modern edge.

Built from a very real overnight journey of finishing a casino performance in the early hours, driving across states, then catching a sunrise flight with no sleep, the track captures the restless pace of life as a working musician.

'Taking Planes' channels the warmth of 2000s hip-hop and R&B while keeping one foot firmly in the present, pairing smooth production with an easy late-night atmosphere. There are flashes of influence from artists like Anderson .Paak and 6lack, but the track ultimately feels rooted in Gino V.’s own creative identity.

As a drummer, vocalist, rapper and producer, he continues to prove himself a true multi-hyphenate, and 'Taking Planes' feels like another confident step forward.
