GET TO KNOW: Nasty Jack

Writer's picture: The Real DingThe Real Ding

Having already cemented himself as one of the more innovative names on the rise recently, grime artist Nasty Jack recently teamed up with FOXAMOUS to deliver their infectious collaboration 'Pint With The Lads'.

Bringing back more of that high-octane energy he is known for, 'Pint With The Lads' is a rip-roaring anthem, perfect for the pub garden. Brimming with hard beats and killer vocals throughout, they are certainly looking to get us up and out of our seats with this one.

So with the new track out now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and influences over the years.

What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?

Kano, definitely. He's a legend in grime and got me into music.

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

Yeah, I did. We had that raw grime sound, straight from our neighborhood.

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?

Grime and UK Garage. They give me the energy and vibe to write my bars.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

"21 Seconds" by So Solid Crew. That track is a classic and always gets the crowd hyped.

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?

Performing with Stormzy, without a doubt. The energy was amazing and the crowd was electric.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

Stormzy again. We had great chemistry on stage and it would be incredible to perform together once more.

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

Stormzy for sure. Our styles complement each other and we'd create some great music together. The band was called Brutal Force

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I will own a vibrant, welcoming pub that becomes the heartbeat of the community. Alongside this, I will embark on exciting travels around the globe, drawing inspiration from diverse cultures and experiences. My journey will fuel my passion for music, leading me to write and produce tracks that resonate deeply with both myself and others. This adventure promises not only personal fulfilment but also the thrill of sharing joy, stories, and rhythms with the world.
