Seattle-based artist Envi Jordan has unveiled a single and video for ‘Somebody to Love’. The dance-pop anthem serves as the lead teaser for his first album, Envi. Born in New York with Caribbean-American roots, ‘Somebody To Love’ embodies Envi’s sound of introspective songwriting wrapped in high-energy production.
The video itself has original choreography and a spoken-word opening. Visuals, lighting and movement allow Envi to explore more deeply the themes of the music.
“‘Somebody to Love’ also received my first music video. It felt great to explore a new medium of creation and express myself in that way… expanding the universe of the song with a visual element. I also express myself in dance with the choreography I created, and embolden that with more writing, a spoken word piece at the beginning of the video. As a whole, the ‘Somebody to Love’ project has been cathartic. I definitely look forward to making more music videos in the future.”
With the album on the way, and ‘Somebody To Love’ offering a fantastic introduction, Envi has also had milestones with a nomination for "Seattle’s Best Pop Artist" and international radio play.
