Wolf Alice announce new album 'Blue Weekend'

Photo: Jordan Hemingway

After spending the last few years revelling in the glory behind their 2017 sophomore album 'Visions Of A Life', Wolf Alice have now returned to announce the details of their next full-length 'Blue Weekend', which is out on the 11th June via Dirty Hit.

The new record is being previewed by the lead single 'The Last Man On Earth', which sees them channel a warmer and more atmospheric direction than what we are used to. No doubt easing us in slowly to what they have in mind for this new collection.

Adding about the new track, vocalist and guitarist Ellie Rowsell said, “It’s about the arrogance of humans. I’d just read Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle and I had written the line ‘Peculiar travel suggestions are dancing lessons from god’ in my notes. But then I thought: ‘Uh, your peculiar travel suggestion isn’t a dancing lesson from god, it’s just a travel suggestion! Why does everything need to mean something more?’”
