Northern German duo Witte continue to establish their atmospheric take on indie-pop with latest single ‘Glas und Steine’, a bittersweet release that pairs romantic uncertainty with a surprisingly buoyant pulse.

Formed near Hamburg by producer Marvin Burfeind and singer-songwriter Kilian Kremer, Witte have quickly developed a style where electronic textures, understated vocals and nostalgic melodies provide the backdrop for intensely personal writing. ‘Glas und Steine’ pushes that formula towards brighter territory, introducing a danceable chorus while retaining the melancholy at the heart of their music.

The song examines a relationship gradually coming undone, capturing the difficult space between recognising that something is breaking and continuing to believe it might still be saved.

Following debut EP 'Ich war nur kurz draußen' and May single ‘Vögel’, ‘Glas und Steine’ offers another compelling glimpse into Witte’s rapidly expanding catalogue as the pair now begin developing their first live show.
