Vancouver collective The Living Orchestra unveil 'Animal Party', a bold and imaginative new single that introduces their forthcoming concept album 'Last Generation', arriving on the 17th May.
Fusing orchestral scope with funk grooves and rock energy, the track offers a striking entry point into a larger narrative set in a fractured near-future. Told from the perspective of animals, 'Animal Party' imagines a world where nature reclaims space and invites humanity to rebuild through unity and ecological restoration.
Led by bandleader Mike Bell, the project blends theatrical storytelling with expansive musicianship, featuring strings, brass, choir and a full band arrangement. The result is a sound that feels both playful and purposeful, balancing vivid imagery with an underlying environmental message.
Supported by a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts and produced by Garth Richardson, 'Last Generation' promises an immersive, multi-layered experience.
