The Cornermen deliver a haunting celebration of Irish folk with 'Stretched On Your Grave'

Blending the timeless beauty of traditional Irish folk with a deeply moving sense of purpose, The Cornermen return with ‘Stretched On Your Grave’, a spellbinding new single that captures the emotional power of music at its most intimate.
Built around delicate acoustic guitar, sweeping strings and haunting vocal melodies, the track unfolds with an extraordinary sense of atmosphere, combining traditional Celtic instrumentation with a beautifully melancholic arrangement.
Enriched by expressive flute passages and enchanting harmonies, ‘Stretched On Your Grave’ evokes the intimacy of an Irish pub session, where storytelling and musical tradition become inseparable.
The single introduces the five-piece's forthcoming ten-track album Tramps and Hawkers, featuring traditional favourites alongside interpretations of songs associated with Shane MacGowan and Christy Moore.
Formed in 2022 through South Moreton Boxing Club, The Cornermen have also established themselves as an important force for men's mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
Through their charitable work, the band have already raised enough money to fund more than 600 counselling sessions for men experiencing crisis.
With ‘Stretched On Your Grave’, The Cornermen demonstrate that their music carries a significance extending far beyond the stage, bringing communities together through compassion, tradition and the enduring power of song.
