British singer-songwriter TaniA Kyllikki and producer Rynellton transform a spontaneous reaction to online division into the pulsating new single ‘HUMAN’.
Originally beginning as a Facebook post, the song emerged after Kyllikki found herself reflecting on hostility surrounding race, culture and difference. Those thoughts soon became lyrics, prompting the married collaborators to add one final track to forthcoming album 'FREE-SPIRITED'.
The result takes an unexpected musical route. Kyllikki's soaring gospel and soul-infused vocals collide with Rynellton's hypnotic techno-house rhythms, atmospheric electronics and dancefloor energy, creating something simultaneously uplifting and thought-provoking.
The track also continues Kyllikki's determination to create despite serious ongoing health difficulties. Unable to maintain a conventional studio routine, she records vocals from a makeshift booth beside her bed, with Rynellton constructing the instrumentation around her melodies.
Bold, soulful and gloriously unexpected, it's a compelling meeting point between heartfelt songwriting and late-night electronic energy.
