Red Skies Mourning - 'Myosotis'

Over these last few years, Chris Aleshire's Red Skies Mourning project has proven itself as one of the more inventive additions to the pop realm. Capturing some brilliantly broad and immersive aesthetics in which to work from, his dynamic nature to date has been this wildly explorative journey through the depths of his musical influences. And after rekindling much of that initial buzz for his recent outings, he now looks to see out his 2024 with his new studio album 'Myosotis', a collection brimming with that same shimmering appeal he is known for.

Much like what these recent releases have been highlighting, 'Myosotis' makes for a beautifully warm and endearing listen throughout. With this rich and spellbinding approach to production, elevated by his own heartfelt vocals at the helm, he continues to shine as one of the more captivating names doing the rounds right now. Whether he is looking to lure us in with a tender swoon or offer up something more anthemic, he always manages to find an edge to keep us hooked from start to finish.

It has certainly been an impactful time for him lately, but 'Myosotis' shows there is still plenty of adventurous spirit coursing through him right now. Brimming with such a fresh and compelling approach to songwriting, we can't wait to hear what the future holds for him as well.
