Polyvoda - 'Queens'

Over the last few years, Ukrainian outfit Polyvoda have been quick to cement themselves as one of the more immersive names on the rise. With a sound that looks to blur the lines between jazz, R&B, soul and so much more, their effervescent energy has been incredibly well-received throughout their offerings to date. And with the buzz still building, they return with their eagerly-awaited debut EP, 'Queens', a collection that broadens their musical horizons once again.

Featuring the previously shared outings 'Homeless' and 'Bonfire', this new four-track collection makes for a brilliantly fresh and tantalising listen. With each track its own versatile entity that moves with an almost unpredictable flow, 'Queens' builds upon those glorious foundations they have been garnering recently, and establishes their place as true innovators on the scene right now.

While only a handful of cuts under their belt prior to this, it was always clear that Polyvoda would grow into something very special. Always searching for new and interesting concepts in which to pursue, 'Queens' is certainly a debut EP worth shouting about.
