With his signature swagger intact but his soul cracked open, Miles Kane returns with 'I Pray', a candid, shimmering anthem lifted from his forthcoming album 'Sunlight In The Shadows', out on the 17th October via Easy Eye Sound.
Built on a spiralling guitar motif that gradually blooms into something bolder, 'I Pray' finds Kane exploring a more introspective terrain. There’s vulnerability beneath the bravado here, as he sings to something bigger than himself. “As I’ve gotten older I’ve become a bit more spiritual,”he shares. “It’s about learning something new about yourself without losing who you are.”
Produced by Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) and featuring a lineup of heavyweight collaborators including Patrick Carney and Barrie Cadogan, 'Sunlight In The Shadows' promises to be one of Kane’s most sonically expansive records yet, a blend of psych-touched rock, tremolo-washed riffs, and emotional clarity.
In the stripped-back video for 'I Pray' (directed by James Slater), Kane returns to Liverpool, opting for raw performance over concept, letting the song’s self-assured yet searching energy shine through.
