Earlier this year, emerging artist Sean Boynes introduced us to his Maverick Smith project with his highly-praised debut album 'With Friends & Imperfections', a record that honed his unique direction and forged some wonderfully riveting collaborations along the way. And with that release continuing to make its mark on the scene, he isn't quite done with 2024 quite yet as he returns with his new EP 'Christmas', a spritely collection that caps off an extremely impactful year for him.
Featuring the original singles 'Coal For Christmas' and 'Kid At Christmas', alongside his reinvented version of 'Jingle Bells', this new offering injects some festive cheer into his distinctive pop-rock-infused punk aesthetic. Bringing back more of that same anthemic gusto his first LP was filled with and splicing it with some brilliantly joyful hooks throughout, he is certainly looking to turn some heads with this one.
While it has undoubtedly been a productive year for him already, 'Christmas' feels like the perfect finale to an engaging time in his fast-rising career so far. Brimming with fresh innovation and an expressive flair at every turn, we can't wait to hear where the Maverick Smith project will be heading in the years ahead as well.
