Mali reaches for something beautiful on spellbinding new single 'Spaceship'

Mali continues her remarkable artistic evolution with ‘Spaceship’, a breathtaking new single that showcases the emotional depth and extraordinary musical ambition driving her forthcoming album Where Was I?

Following the success of ‘Saviour Complex’, the acclaimed songwriter ventures into more introspective territory, delivering a magnificent fusion of orchestral elegance and contemporary pop.

Delicate instrumentation gradually blossoms into a sweeping arrangement, with Mali's captivating vocals carrying an unmistakable sense of longing. There's something wonderfully immersive about the production, allowing the song's intimate beginnings to evolve into a powerful, emotionally charged finale.

Beneath its celestial imagery lies a deeply human exploration of romantic uncertainty, capturing the vulnerability of loving someone while struggling to believe you deserve a place in their life.

The single offers another tantalising glimpse of Where Was I?, Mali's third studio album, arriving this November. Developed following her return to Mumbai in 2022, the project features contributions from Keshav Dhar.
