Bondi alt-pop duo M & J transform the disappointment of unrequited love into something beautifully relatable on their heartfelt new single ‘NOT A LOVE SONG’.

Inspired by the real-life experience of one half of the Australian duo, the track began with the desire to write a love song for someone special. As hopes for the relationship gradually disappeared, however, the idea evolved into a song about everything that might have been.

It's an approach that fits naturally into the duo's deeply personal songwriting. Based in Bondi, Australia, M & J regularly draw upon their own experiences alongside their love of the country's beaches, wildlife and natural landscapes, even photographing the imagery used for their artwork themselves.
