Throughout the last decade, Canadian outfit Hotel Mira have established themslves as one of the more adventurous names on the indie-rock circuit. Regularly shifting and evolving their sound over the years, the band have been making waves on the live circuit as well, earning a strong and vibrant reputation for electrifying live shows. And after renewing their success with the highly-praised studio album 'I Am Not Myself' last year, they are now back once again with their riveting new EP 'I Am Not Much Help'.
Featuring the previously shared anthems 'The View From The Barstool' and 'Waste Away', this new four-track collection finds them in a wonderfully fun and lively guise. Exploring yet another heady dose of shimmering guitar-driven hooks for their newest outing, 'I Am Not Much Help' sees them building upon their dynamic direction of late with some of their most impactful material of the last few years.
While last year's LP was certainly a strong and commanding return for them, 'I Am Not Much Help' shows there is still plenty of inventive spirit coursing through them right now. Delivering a firm and focused release once again, Hotel Mira are very much on top of their creative game right now.
