Hollow River - 'Aspartame'

Photo: Justin Fortier

After spending the last few years establishing his sound with a flurry of fresh and enticing releases, Toronto-based artist Hollow River returns once again with his vibrant new offering 'Aspartame'.

Channelling the same inventive pop-punk aesthetic as acts like FIDLAR and SWMRS, 'Aspartame' makes for a brilliantly catchy listen. Filled with raw and driven textures, a soaring atmosphere, and killer hooks throughout, this one will be stuck in your head long after you first hear it.

While these last few years have certainly seen him turn out a flurry of bright and dynamic offerings, 'Aspartame' shows that he still has plenty of new and exciting ideas in which to explore. With such a strong and confident approach to his sound, we can definitely see ourselves coming back to this one again and again.
