Grihastha returns with 'MACHiNE', a new single that further develops the project's distinctive combination of metal, industrial production and philosophical songwriting.
Founded by Los Angeles-based musician and producer Nikhil Suresh during the pandemic, Grihastha has steadily built a sound that brings together crushing guitar work, electronic experimentation and intricate rhythmic ideas.
On 'MACHiNE', those elements combine around a concept examining how desire can gradually become automatic behaviour. The arrangement reflects that tension through constantly evolving grooves, distorted percussion and an atmosphere that shifts between precision and chaos.
The recording also showcases the project's lengthy creative process. What began as a simple musical sketch evolved over many months into a fully realised production, with live instrumentation replacing early demos and industrial textures taking on a much greater role.
By continuing to blend influences from across heavy music and beyond, Grihastha delivers another release that places equal emphasis on technical detail and thoughtful songwriting.
